killer asked:
I have a bare spot on the side of my house that does not get any direct sunlight, what type of grass, shrubs or trees would grow in that type of lighting, also the soil is sandy. I have tried several kinds of cedar trees and various shrubs, cant seem to get anything to grow, any suggestions?

what state/growing zone do you live in? In order to properly answer, I need to know where you live. Also, it concerns me that you can’t get cedar to grow there… maybe something is wrong with the soil.. it will help to add compost.. is enough water getting to the site?

you will have to add some compost & topsoil to that sand–mix it in good
