How do I keep pets from crapping in the landscape?

quack asked:
We have pets that like to lay (and go #2 in the landscape in front of our house. What are some good ways to keep them out besides putting up a fence (ammonia, other odors)? Any good home remedies?

Depends on the pet. Most dogs can be trained to use a single area for their poop. If you have cats, good luck! Ask at a pet place, like Pet-smart. They may have some natural repellents you can use.

try puting broken sea shells or broken flower pots in the flower beds. they will help “mulch” the beds for weeds and the sharp edges will keep the animals out. At least that is what my friend does with her plants.

You might consider putting a fenced in area in your Backyard, If you have one.

I’ve heard chili sauce or some spicy herb helps.
